I have one plant happily growing in a small terraced bed where it gets 2-3
hours sun. Other plants doing well in this bed are Campanula carpatica,
epimedium, dwarf astilbe and columbine. The soil is sandy, enriched with
compost. The bed is watered regularly by a sprinkler. My trollius was not
doing much (one flower) for the first 2 or 3 years but this year it took
f - there were five or six long lasting blooms. I am in zone five (six if I
feel optimistic) in eastern Massachusetts. Sophie
