Kemberly and I have discussed this topic several times in the past weeks.
One thing I have noticed is that the gardens are getting much more relief
from hot afternoon sun here in TX, as we have been getting afternoon clouds
and late afternoon showers almost daily since the first of June. As a
result, the foliage growth has been phenomenal in my garden. I can't help
but wonder, though, what the effects will be if we resume our normal dry
weather pattern for the remainder of the year? These plants have been
growing in protected conditions, basically, for the past six weeks or so. I
don't think they will be happy with a sudden onslaught of our hot summer sun
and drought.
