Totally without any planning or forethought on my part, I planted my black
hollyhocks right next to my collection of white asiatic lilies, shasta
daisies, white Malva, white Campanula carpatica and white liatris. A very
striking combination. Perhaps I should plant some black Viola tricolor to go
with it.
