In reading about everyone's problems with Sun Gold, my first thought was
"mine are doing great..." and then I remembered that last year after they
had put on their major first year's growth, one of mine started dying on
one side. I haven't any idea why,but several major shoots just turned
brown and gave up the ghost so to speak. No gophers, nothing causing it
from what I could see, except that hte plant had grown so large that first
year that it was tipped sideways and maybe pulling itself out of the
ground. I cut off the dying parts and staked it up and that helped
tremendously. This year they are beautiful.
