Re: Hollyhock Peaches-n-Dreams


Mine is in flower now, and I am much less impressed with it than I was
initially.  Seen against the right background it might be quite striking.
Without it, the flowers look rather washed out and are hardly noticable.  I
would suggest planting it in front of a hedge in very dark green, or perhaps
a wall.
My single flowered black hollyhock makes a much more dramatic statement in
the garden.  If I could only have one of the two it would be the black.
