Ah, well. Then you ought to grow H. plantaginea ( assuming you're not
already). Large white scented flowers, nearly as big as an asiatic lily.
Here in my zone 4 garden they bloom in September. These plants have plain
lightish green crisp looking leaves that provide a great foil to the more
complicated variegated or textured leaves.
Some of the other hostas have larger flowers than the normal run, but this
is the best of them I've seen.
