Garden Poem

Hi-I wrote this this morning after a "tour" through the gardens, which
are featuring buddleia, blackberry lily, heliopsis, purple coneflower,
liatris, monarda, gladiolus, dahlias, cannas, rudbeckia, and salvia (to
name a few)....

Thought it might be enjoyable for you all who love gardens as I do.

IN THE GARDEN

Although a garden treats the eye,
it also calms the soul.
Just being in a garden
can help to make you whole.

For you can plant the seed
and work the soil
but it's God who sends the rains
and it's God whose grand creation
rewards your daily pains.

You know, I see His hand in every leaf
-each intricate design
and in the cycle of the seasons,
if I stop to take the time.

And if, instead of wildly weeding,
I will sit and breathe and BE,
it is often in the garden
the Divine comes close to me.
