begonia grandis & aster "purple dome" are my favorites for August. I've had
it w/ mildewed phlox. Oh, yes, hibiscus I love. And lots of black-eyed
susan & echinacea.
I'm thinking of planting four o'clocks (I know it is an annual, but it is
supposed to self-seed to the point that it is virtually a perennial (that's
my hook for asking you guys about it). My question: how is the foliage for
the bulk of the season? Is it attractive? More and more I am gravitating
towards decent foliage as more important than the flower. . . .
