Re: Achemenes

I have these in the purple color. My husband's aunt gave me a start. Has
anyone ever heard them called " Monkey Faces" ? that's what dh's aunt called
them. Mine have been blooming for several weeks now, but have gotten pretty
ragged looking in this heat. don't know what happened to them .I decided to
give them a haircut yesterday. I noticed there are more coming up underneath
the ones that have been in bloom. I too, leave them in the soil through the
winter and don't water. They mutiply very well. I give some away every year.
My aunt, ( Donna, who is also on this list) and I tried the pink ones and
the white ones also, but they didn't do well for us.....I would like to try
them again though.
