Donna - they won't overwinter in the ground, but you can see how easy it is
to start new plants. Each leaf will give you a new plant as long as you
leave a small portion of the stem intact. I just cut off a piece, cut the
leaves off with about 1 - 1 1/2 inches of the stem attached to each leaf,
stick them in moist potting soil and they root quickly. I've been known to
pass a potted plant, think "boy, a sweet potato vine would look good with
that", go snip off a leaf and stick it in the pot where I want it to start,
and it works.
