Re: Sweet Potato Vine

I had a "Blackie" in with petunias in a window box last summer, and saved the tubers
it had made when I emptied the boxes at season's end last fall. There was one good
sized tuber and two very small ones. I saved all three in peat moss in a paper bag in
the basement over winter and planted them again in the window boxes again this
spring. The big one came up well and one of the little ones just sent up shoots a
couple weeks ago - no news from the third. I think I should have started them earlier
in pots in the house and then planted them as already-started plants. Did yours make
tubers? I'll try cuttings, too, this year. These vines are really dramatic in boxes
and baskets.
