Louise,
I was at the Chelsea Show and it was overwhelmingly amazing! I've been home
a couple of days -- just long enough to recover from jet-lag, but not long
enough to catch up on my e-mail. (I've worked through the first week of
perennials digests and have a week's worth to go.) I have returned to a
house guest, an upcoming family wedding, a yet unmulched garden full of weeds
and deadheads, and a backlog of garden designs to draw for clients.
I took lots of pictures and I'm working on getting them on disk so I can
share them with all of you. I also brought home lots of literature from
Chelsea which I have yet to find time to read. When I have time to do it
justice, I will write a full report. At the moment it all seems like a
beautiful dream and I am still trying to grasp all of it's splendor.
For now, I will just report that I stopped by the Hardy Plant Society exhibit
to see our Colin and he was unfortunately away at the time. I did have a
nice chat with Colin's colleague and saw the magnificent Himalayan blue
poppies Colin grew. (Colin, are you there? So sorry I missed you. It was a
wonderful exhibit and your plants were most impressive!)
Stay tuned -- more later! --Janis
