RE: Knautia/cephalaria gigantea

Hi Susan, Haven't grown the former, but have heard it is good, especially
in rockery. My Cephalaria gigantea is at least 10 years old and still going
strong. I have lifted and divided it once or twice during that time.

Comment and question. I ran across a new to me variety of knautia, knautia
avensis, which with the one bloom appears to be a pale pink or lavender.
Can anyone tell me more from experience?
I really enjoy my cephalaria gigantea, but it is only 2 years old at
present. Can anyone tell me if it is long or short lived, reseeds or
anything else of interest?
