Absolutely. Here in cincinnati my perennial bed has overgrown itself this
year. There was lots of space at the end of last season, but everything is
shoving into everything else this year. The mild winter, early spring, and
some good early rains, along with sudden warm temperatures in June had popped
things out. I just hope some of these plants don't burn themselves out.
Blooms have been abundant too. Now I guess I have to move a few plants.
I've already thinned out a number of things and given pots away. Verbena
bonariensis is also beginning to bloom, from last year's plants, and I don't
think I've seen that before August before.
The good thing is that there's no room for weeds!
