Lucky you!
No, won't grow from cuttings. Sanguinaria is propagated by seed
(which won't work for your double as it doesn't set seed AFAIK) or
division of the rhizomes in late summer or fall after the foliage has
died down. Never done it, but this is what Clausen and Ekstrom
say...
