Re: Weeding somebody else's garden/Nan

Hi Val,
I do hope that I am not sounding like some kind of neurotic about people in
their garden. I am not, really and truly. Just happens to bug me when people walk
into plant beds. On the outside I truly am pretty laid back. After all, I did
invite the public to my garden.
While we are walking through the garden together people ask if I have this one
or that one for sale and I will say "not this year, or yep, they are over in the
nursery display area."
We can come up with all kinds of things to make good etiquette the responsibility
of the garden owner, but the true center of responsibility rests with the visitor.
Just as it does if you come to my home for dinner and a glass of wine.
Perhaps the baby got thrown out in the bathwater during the late 60's and 70's
when any form of rules was repression. Now no one learns or knows rules of basic
etiquette any more. We simply are not taught so we are not aware. Now my age is
showing......
