RE: Distorted Phlox Leaves

Hal, I agree the stippling and distortion look like spider mite damage.
Have you looked at the leaves with a hand lens or loupe? I would prune off
the damage, spray leaves with water and keep the roots moist to reduce
transplant stress. Then see what your new growth looks like when it comes
out. Nice picture by the way!

Subject:	Distorted Phlox Leaves

I have two phlox 'Prime Minister' growing in full sun, that I moved a few
weeks ago. They have seemed to re-establish themselves without missing a
beat, but now one of them has distorted foliage at the tips of the shoots.
Only seem to effect the newest and smallest leaves. They are distorted and
curled. I can't see any evidence of insects or insect damage. Does anyone
recognize what might be going on? I have attached a scan of a shoot.
