Re: Gardens to visit??

Well, Barbara, you'll certainly get rid of the 'cold'...it's in upper
90's this weekend around here tho' next week is slated to go back to
mid to upper 80s:-)

I'm not in Baltimore - perhaps someone else on the list is, but I'm
only about 45 minutes south of it. You can't visit there without
going to the Inner Harbor - all kinds of touristy spots to buy
souvenirs and stuff your face - not much in the garden line there,
however. There's also a marvelous aquarium on the harbor...well
worth a visit.

About 45 minutes northwest? of Baltimore is Ladew Topiary Gardens - I
enjoyed seeing it a good deal the times I've been - also toured the
house which was interesting. Baltimore zoo is a nice zoo with some
very creative landscaping in several parts - very nice way to spend a
day. There's another garden just north of the Baltimore beltway that
I visited many years ago and cannot remember the name of...drat!

If you want to head about 45 minutes south of Baltimore to
Washington, DC, there's the National Arboretum.
