Gardens

Just read your post from several days ago -- in case you've not yet left....

All the ones already mentioned are wonderful -- Longwood, Ladew, the
National Arboretum. Also, right next to the Baltimore Zoo is the Baltimore
Conservatory. An absolutely beautiful building with a nice assortment of
plants (small, but very nice). To the west of Baltimore, (maybe exit 18 off
the Baltimore Beltway??) is Cylburn Arboretum (410-396-0180) -- nice if you
have the time, but definitely not of the same caliber as some of the others
places already mentioned.

If you do head south towards DC, in Wheaton, MD is a very nice, large garden
-- Brookside Gardens (1500 Glenallan Ave., Wheaton, MD 301-949-8230).

Have fun!
