Thank you very much for your kind comments regarding the Hardy Plant soc
stand at Chelsea, really sorry to have missed you and taken so long to resond
to your listing, like you have been catching up with the discussions, now i'm
back to work (read perennials in my lunch hour - very theraputic!).
The Meconopsis are in the 'treatment' centre to recover from their ordeal, i
feel i could do with that after ten days at Chelsea! It was a fantastic
experience for a novice/ enthusiast/ obsessive propagator that i am, and
really relieved to be part of a team of experienced gardeners headed up by
Tim Ingram of Copton Ash Nursery in Faversham Kent. The icing on the cake was
that we were awarded a 'Gold Medal' by the judges, a dream come true.
What was really wonderful were the comments from the viewing public who were
so appreciative of the fact that it was 95% plants and 5% landscaping, which
was the opposite to the majority of the major gardens on display.
I'm glad i've been able to contribute something to the list as i do enjoy
reading everybody elses discussion and information, not quite clear how i'm
going to cope with roaming armadillo's, lets hope i don't have to!.
By the way i did recommend this web site to a number of chelsea visitors who
i hope will join us
