Here in Minnesota I have in Bloom:
Peony-about 20 varieties still had flowers.
Siberian Iris
Spiderworts- I really like 'Concord Grape,' others include 'Hawaiian Punch,'
'Osprey,' 'Innocence,' 'Zwanenburg Blue' and 'Red Cloud.'
Hardy Geraniums-six diffrent kinds, I like the tall ones and the sanguineum
types.
Coreopsis auriculata 'nana'- I need to give this one more sun I think.
Daylilly-'Stella De Oro' -just started to bloom, the last flowers on
mindorfii will open over the next day or two.
Hosta- a number of the blues are in bloom and so is Montana.
Thalatricum Aquilegifolium
Nepeta 'Walkers low,' subsessilis (Both the large form and the smaller
form-Great plants) 'Blue Wonder.
Anemone condenses
Dianthus- a number of diffrent ones
Telekia speciosa
Trollius 'Golden Queen' and 'Cheddar'
Some of the ASTILBE have just started to bloom, 'Darwin's Dream' is in full
color.
Lychnis haageana -- a number of diffrent types. 'Orange gnome' Just started
Linaria cymbalaria
Cornus -'Gray Twig Dogwood' and 'Japanese Dogwood'
LAMIUM - all the types are still in bloom, with 'White Nancy' Looking real
good.
I do not have a great number of "flowering" plants this year, but some things
seem to be ahead of normal this year.
I wish I had more time to enjoy the plants I do have in bloom- I had around
fifty diffrent Peony varieties bloom this year and I was hoping to get
pictures of most of them this year- but had no time to take the pictures
(working around 95 hours per week and getting tired)
