PERFECT! I have this funky area that never dries out terribly, but it's
sunny enough to grow roses. Of all the perennials I have tried over the
years, the only things I have had marginal success with here are asiatic
lilies, and anemone sylvestris. It is so odd because the roses and the
butterfly bush grow fine, as well as lilac, viburnum bodnantense and even
hosta. But almost every other perennial I have tried has croaked:
delphinium, iris, mums, gentian, even heuchera!
SINCE were on the subject, any suggestions for this "twilight zone" area?
It faces east and north.
