Thanks for the tip. (No pun intended.)
I took a closer look for any signs of the disease. The tips are nice and
green and growing quickly. I'll continue to keep an eye on it, just in case.

That sounds right to me. Your description sounds the same as when Peonies
get botrytis.

I can understand that. They're spectacular when in bloom.
