RE: Honeysuckle vine

I assume the Botrytis that infects honeysuckle vine is in the soil and there
is no treatment for it?

I may cut the honeysuckle down to the ground at the end of the season and
see what happens next year. I was hoping that the blackened tips were aphid
damage, plus maybe some late spring cold weather. Honeysuckle leafs out so
early - and here in Wisconsin sneaky late frosts often catch the early
birds.
