In Europe, too, all the viburnums (not only the macrocephalum) are invaded
by aphids, on the top of the stems. But I love the viburnums , so, I prune
the tips to get rid of the aphids, by the same way I maintain the shrub. To
say the truth, there is one here in my garden which is not housing aphids :
it's the V. plicatum 'Mariesii'( the wedding-cake tree) and it's the one I
prefer.
