Sue has already described it very well. I'd like to add that I received one
for Christmas two years ago and am not impressed with it.
It doesn't dig any better than a good garden trowel or spade. I've tried to
use it for dividing plants but found that the blade is too thick and curved
to do a good job. A kitchen knife or two spades back to back works much
better.
It's not cheap either. I'm looking in the Lee Valley catalogue right now.
They sell the knife for $24.50 CAN (~$16 US) and, for comparison, a set of
3 high quality hand tools for $27.50 CAN ($18 US). I have both of these
products and I can tell that, given the same amount of use and abuse, the
hand tools will last longer.
