Solarization?

I have pots of soil (last year's annuals, this year's seeds that
didn't germinate). Weed seeds blew in and germinated and I didn't get
around to pulling them out. Now the weeds have a strong network of
roots.
I dumped all the moist soil into a huge black plastic bag and closed
the opening. If the bag stays in a sunny area for a few weeks, will it
get hot enough to kill all the weeds?
