Don: The flower looks alot like D discolor to me but I've never seen the
foliage of the D. discolor and the Dat in your picture clearing has different
foliage than the common Dats that I grow. I will forward this pic on to a
friend who may know.
I've had my common pass-along triple yellow get a 6 ft. height in one season
but the trunk usually takes me two years...I'm very courious about the one
you have. Our winters have been so mild here in SE Texas that the Dats
haven't died (again) - they are now on their third growing season.
