Peach is not just the flower colour, it's the cultivar name. I verified this
by looking through my Blooms of Bressingham book which lists recommended
cultivars, and low and behold there it was. Maybe it was the first cultivar
to come out in peach.
A. aethusifolius is the Aruncus I was thinking about. It and doicus are the
only two members of the species I ever see listed in plant books.
