Some of the Liatris will reach 4-5 feet tall and they are purple or white. Try Florstein violet.
Perovskia - but over the last few years selection has been for shorter and shorter growing plants.
A number of different Nepeta to chose from-but N. sibrica would be my fav
for tall and blue. Mine are 4-5.5 feet tall this year and just coming into bloom
and they will bloom untill frost.
Astilbe 'Purple Candels' reaches 4.5 feet tall and blooms in a nice shade of
purple.
Aconitums have a nuber of tall blue to purple blooing fors including - carichaelii which can reach 5-6 feet tall, 'Spark's Variety' has dark
purple flowers and grows 5 feet tall. Like the Astilbe the onks hood do very well in full sun as long as the soil is moisture retentive all season long.
Agastache with some searching you shoul be able to find some plants in this group that grow 5-7 feet tall.
This all that I can think of right now - in the fall when I have caught up with my sleep- I might be able to think of a few others. Lets see what others suggest.
