RE: Building the garden UP

I have got the Lasagna Gardening Book, and have actually used it in a couple
of beds that were weed ridden. It worked a treat, and I have lovely spinach
and peas this year, instead of amazing weeds and small plants.!

===>There's actually a book about this called "Lasagna Gardening." The
author, Pat Lanza, is a buddy of mine and it's a nicely done book. Lots of
"recipes" for different types of layered gardens. Pat says making a new bed
shouldn't be hard work. She also won a major award from the Garden Writers
Association of America for this book.

I'm pretty sure the book is still in print and could be ordered from Amazon,
Borders, Barnes and Noble, etc.
