The trouble with weeding out oxalis is that all the tiny roots that break
off will re-grow. That is why they will be back in a few days. It takes a
little longer for new seedlings. If you are weeding them out you will have
zillions of them while you neighbor who don't weed them have only a few
giant plants. If you kill them off with a weed killer it takes longer to
re-grow. Oxalis seed are even resistant to pre-emergence herbicide which
you don't want to use anyway. Surprisingly it is very sensitive to Roundup.
The look sick almost immediately. My sure fire method is to build a raised
bed with new soil. It is easy to keep complete control that way.
Never ever buy "weed free" bagged manure. That is where most of us got it
in the first place years ago.
