Isabelle,
You're at the cold end of its range. The generally survive and grow,
but sometimes they don't bloom in z 5...rather depends on the winter
and the siting of the plant. IMO, even if they never bloomed, the
foliage is well worth growing them for. They bloom on old wood, so
if winter is bad or you have a late freeze, the flower buds can be
lost.
While I've had year old cutting grown plants bloom, sometimes it
takes them a while to do this...just depends on so many factors. So,
if you have it in a relatively protected spot, be patient and your
baby may bloom for you in a year or so.
