- Thread-topic: Two questions: aconitum and nicotiana langsdorfii
I am plagued by two mysteries this year:
1. My neighbor has an aconitum in her yard, no tag of course. It is blooming now (in Oregon) and has very dissected foliage that is nearly leather-like in texture, dark green. The flowers are dark blue, it is about 5'.
I have A.. Sparks, carmichaelii, bicolor, and Stainless Steel and NONE OF THEM have foliage like this. Any guesses????
2. Nicotiana langsdorfii. For the second year in a row I have bought what was supposed to be n. langsdorfii and what it really is would seem to be n. "Nikki Lime." What is the deal with that? The true langsdorfii is a tube flower, 4' or so and lime green, right?
Thanks for the help.
