Re: making troughs

Hello Karen,
We certainly enjoy other gardener's coming to visit us. The past two
weeks we have been out touring the gardens of others (spring season shipping
is now over).
Thus far we have been to 2 gardens in Cincinnati, OH, one in Lexington,
KY, and Muncie, IN. The local hosta chapter had their open house at certain
gardens in the area and we went to 3 of those last week. Sometimes you
receive very pleasant surprises. On the hosta tour we came upon one garden
with very few hosta, but the guy was a small tree, shrub nut... with
underplantings of azalea and rhododendron. Really into masses of azalea.
That one will probably eventually get me into trouble..... Of course, I
also ended up with a long listing of hosta I liked in other's gardens.
Sometimes a gardener will really "get it right" and you go home almost
wanting to dig up and replant your own........
