Susan, yes part shade is great. I think it holds the color better than in
sun. Mine only lived 3-4 years, but as I said - I abused it.

Susan, it is Deschampsia caespitosa 'Northern Lights'. Short clumps, multi
colored with lots of pink in the spring. For me, rather short lived and
because my borders are stuffed - it was easily overgrown. It deserved
better than what it got from me!
