Is this tour part of a convention or regional meeting? If so, the sponsor
may be providing refreshments from the bus. If not, lemonade and even just
plain bottled water would be good to have on hand. Linda Wallpe and I
weathered having our gardens toured by 200 members of the American Daffodil
Society during the annual convention, which we also co-chaired. That did make
it a lot more work, but I have to say it was a lot of fun having people in
the garden, oohing and ahhing. And I think plant society people have a
better appreciation than the general public.
Yes, they'll want to know what certain plants are. Since they're daylily
people, I hope you have your daylilies labeled--if not, ask them to help
identify them!
You know, you can only weed and trim so much, and then you have to let the
maturity of your garden fend for itself. Relax and enjoy yourself--it's a
lot of fun to show off your garden! You'll meet some nice people too.
