RE: Dry Zones

Pat,
Yes municipal water is wayyy too expensive! I envy you the well. My
understanding of city law is that it is illegal here to have a well or any
other source of water EXCEPT city water. Bah, humbug!
When I lived in the city of Boise, ID we had city water for the house, but
we also had access to irrigation water from the local irrigation company.
Everyone inside the city paid an annual fee to the irrigation company, but
only some of us could access the water. But that is what we used outdoors
in the summer. We had our own pump and pumped the irrigation water through
a sprinkling system.

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones - so far. I have
municipal water and sewer AND a personal well. The
municipal water is way too expensive to water plants with,
so my well gets a work out in the summer.
