All email programmes now have filter systems and you might try filtering by *sender* rather than by subject line.

Filtering by sender allows you to sort easily. You can also sort family, friends etc into a general "I want to read this" mailbox. Set up filters for everybody you want to read.

Anybody or email who isn't filtered gets left in the general inbox for quick deletion or evaluation. Unfortunately because I have several websites, I get way too many spam messages each day to contemplate. However, by filtering on sender it only takes me a minute or two to delete the upwards of 150 spams/day. :-)

This is not a perfect solution but a workable one. Having only one subject line header makes searching very difficult should we want to find a past post. Having a subject line with "peren" start word then variable subject line also sometimes does funny things to the filters depending on the software.

Leave the system as it is imho.
