Hi Sophie, I wish some of my verbascum would seed around more. So I think it depends on if you feel it is weedy or if in your area it is a noxioius weed. I know where I am there is one verbascum species that is becoming naturalized although I don't think it is considered a noxious weed.
Some of my verbascum do live past the second year when I cut their flowering stems down before they go to seed. Deb

The plants are nice but I am rather glad that they are biennial. Do I need to be very vigilant about it seeding itself?
