Re: Ontario-- Stone Wall----Ideas

Well, Ronnalee, I don't know whether I could be terribly helpful to you - I live in a Mediterranean climate where we get about 250 cm or rain PER YEAR, all between November and early March. Summers are hot, winters are mild. We plant succulents into walls, cascading lotus, westringia (a small shrub) trained to hang down over walls, prostrate rosemary, and other low water plants from the other Mediterranean climates (the Mediterranean basin, coastal California, coast of Chile, parts of Southern Africa, and parts of Australia)

Can you grow any of these?

Nan

Good Morning Nan,
Wiarton is on the Bruce Peninsula, between Georgian Bay
and Lake Huron, in Ontario, Canada.

It is coolish here today, under 60 at the moment and going down
to 6 overnight.

The 33 ish degrees the other day was out of the normal range for this
time of year, which is usually high 22 and low 9 overnight.

91 cm. of rain came down over the last holiday weekend.
Flowers have loved this cool wet spring we have had.

Any suggestions for the wall, Nan, would be appreciated.
Thanks
