Discussion of sources of perennials would seem to be well within the purview of this list. Many on this list are Heronswood customers, who possibly have a degree of affection for the firm and for its erstwhile staff. This is one common characteristic of plant fanciers -- they develop loyalties and other ties to their favorite nurseries. A horticultural firm violates this at its peril. I believe this perfectly appropriate discussion, about the apparent sacking of one of world's preeminent plantsmen and his staff for "business reasons", demonstrates that.
BTW -- while arguably reputable, the "parent company" rates quite low on Garden Watchdog, far below its top-rated competitors and -- for that matter -- Heronswood. I'll be interested to see whether mass-marketing of Tripterygium boosts their prospects.

The company which bought the company is a reputable company who had real business reasons for taking them over, surely, not to just put a competitor out of business.
The parent company has extensive propagation facilities in other locations which can take over production operations.
There are many top growers in the new location - Yoder / Greenleaf and Creek Hill, both major perennial growers, are only a few miles away.
Chill out and get back to the principle reason for this group - learning and sharing information about plant growth.
