butterflies on rue

I believe them to be the black swallowtail. The caterpillars are green and black striped. I do not believe that they prefer the rue but it was available. I cut it back hard to make it bush out. I have seen it kept as a small hedge too. Too much work for me though. Nancy Tennessee zone 6b
