I guess you mean it's in the beds, right? That's tough. I'd hate to use any
chemicals there. It's easy to pull out but probably will come back. 

We had it once as an edging to shrubbery and the mower kept it back.
Amazing how catalogs STILL sell this stuff as a desirable garden plant. Why
not kudzu?

I believe there are some web sites but I don't have them anywhere near my
fingertips. I read about this in a new book called Planting Noah's Garden
by Sara Stein.  It's a thick book all about reestablishing native
biosystems. I strongly recommend it for practical tips and also she
explains how to find the information (state and local distribution lists)
you are seeking. Maybe your public library has it. Or you can buy it from
Amazon.com.
