I paid about $100 for one that quit working after about 2 months.  Paid $10
for one that did identical stuff, lasted throughout summer.
beep...beep...beep.  About three feet from where it was stuck in the
ground, voles ate most of the potatoes in a three foot swath.  As I was
digging potatoes, listening to the beep, my pound puppy (part Schnauzer,
part terrier), stood at my elbow.  Snatch! Gulp.  Vole tail went through
his lips as if he were sucking spaghetti.  I tossed the electronic
no-goods.  Save your money.  Rent a cat.  Margaret
