Obnoxious Weed Part II

If someone can identify the weed that Isabella described, could they also
tell us how to get rid of it?  Smothering it with black plastic and/or
newspapers and mulch does not do the trick.  I found that this weed will
spread under this cover and come up around the edges, and I don't have
enough paper/plastic to do my entire yard!!
