A very typical pairing is shrubby Salvia greggii (pink flowering) with
any of the bushy or trailing Lantanas. This is a native look; add a
Leucospermum (Texas sage) and you are Texas typical.
Also typical are a crepe myrtle (Lagerstroemia indica or faurei or x),
Indian hawthorne (Raphiolepsis), and a ground cover like asian jasmine
(Trachelospermum asiaticum). This is a more traditional arrangement,
despite the fact that none are natives.
