RE: Perfect Pairings

I love to try and group in threes

*"Coronation Gold" Achillea
*Chrysanthemum leucanthumum (ox-eye daisy)
*Blue Delphinium

*Heuchera "Palace Purple"
*Coreopsis verticillata "Moonbeam"
*Orange flowered Geum (can't remember name..."Mrs Bradshaw" maybe??)

*Alchemilla mollis (Lady's Mantle)
*"Johnson's Blue Geranium
*Penstemon "Husker Red"

These are just some of the especially nice ones out there right now. It does
seem that there are certain plants that look good paired with anything,
anytime: Lady's Mantle, Moonbeam Coreopsis, Lamb's Ears, the brownish red
Heucheras...definitely suggested as staples in most any garden.

Hmmm. Well, here's a few that I've had some success with:

   Moonbeam coreopsis and lamb's ears
   Sweet woodruff and grape hyacinth
   Rose campion and Moonshine yarrow
   Bugleweed and grape hyacinth
Bleeding heart, variegated hostas, and vinca

You can see a picture of that last one from my garden at
