Hi everyone: I'm in the process of designing and planting a shade garden
under a tree that's getting large - dry shade. Morning sun only - filtered.
I'm looking for plants that will give me some color in high summer. My
bleeding hearts are still blooming - so that's good. Hostas will bloom
soon. What shade plant(s) would you recommend for summer color? I'm in zone
6a.
I'm also looking for a plant(s) that will give me some fall color. What
about cyclamen? I'm considering using them. Also, Japanese anemone? Will
they get too tall for a garden under a tree - don't want anything taller
than 12-18".
It seems I have alot that blooms in the spring - but I need some color in
summer and fall also.
Thanks for any suggestions!
