What is blooming here in St Louis? Zone 5? No spring to speak of, went from
40 degree nights to torrential rains to high humidity!
Tulips have long gone with over 500 crocus
begonias blooming bright and cheerfull
glads are glorious in magical colors
petunias fill in the holes nicely
shasta daisy's are just starting
dahlia's contrast nicely in pinks
buddelia 'black knight' stands sentry duty!
I'm still clipping off my two bushy mum's (hate to do that!) but will be able
to let it got in just a few more days! (July 4th right?)
My herbs are doing nicely
peppermint and lemon balm-spearmint and lavender-dried lots so far and I ove
lemon balm tea!
lovage
borage
garlic is looking healthy, basil getting bushy! Pesto anyone??
cilantro is being kept from bolting in one area, but my second bunch is being
allowed to flower-so dainty to fill in the vases inside! and to get more seed
for later!
foxglove
pansy
astilbe
forget me nots
johnny jump up
creeping jenny
hostas flowering in the shade
corepories (?)
bell flowers in lilac and white,
mexican heather-looking a little sad right now!
hot pink impatiens in the shady back yard and around the patio mixed in with
the white petunias
My garden is only in its second year, but with my bird feeders, bird bath and
the new patio fountain-it is just to peaceful around here! I'm sure I've
forgotten some of the babies out there!
Ain't life grand!!!!
